Sometimes I think I should get some type of kickback for all the titles I've recommended, but you can tell I LOVE to read. Actually, CGI was being implemented in our area through a grant. The original research and implementation was done in Wisconsin with Carpenter and Fennema. Fennema has also done some very interesting research on gender issues in mathematics teaching and learning. A good friend was given lots of training, and I just 'borrowed' her books and stuff to add to my problem solving endeavors. I think the book will help you with your math committee. ;-D
