Melissa, I understand your response and do agree with it, to a degree, but I am an education professor myself and I can tell you that it indeed IS important to know which verbs to avoid. I certainly don't expect my students to memorize Bloom's verbs because there are so many of them, but I do want them to recognize the difference between general, unobservable verbs. That's one of the biggest problems I have in trying to help them write clear objectives. If they can recognize the vagueness of certain verbs, it helps steer them toward the more specific ones.
