I am a junior at UW Oshkosh WI and am going into elementary and special ed. we just had to take general ed course coveringa wide range of subjects 3 math courses, algebra, geometry,statistics, english: general, and advanced comp, Science: ecosphere in crisis and what ever you want, literature, art, music, PE, basically every subject matter. When it comes to pre-college planning just get a lot of experiences working with children of all ages so that once you get to college you know who you want to teach and who you don't, you should even try working with students who you would not think you would like working with, they may turn out to be the ones you really want to teach.
