"Observation tips"

I don't know how much observation experience you have had. Or how different teaching in U.S. is but throughout my degree in Early Childhood Education in Australia we have used Observation and record keeping by Ann Veale and Barbara Piscitelli. By the time you recieve this you will already be out with the children. I guess one big tip is to take your time to get to know the children. Play with them, talk to them see what interests they have and take it from there.
