You need to start observing
By Lori

Clip to ScrapBook
The best thing you can do is get into a classroom and observe. I called local schools and left a message with the secretary explaining that I was an education student and wanted to observe a classroom in a particular grade. I got a call back from 5 teachers. Not only did I get to observe and see what teaching is really about, I formed relationships with other teachers that has proven invaluable now that I have finished my student teaching and am looking for a job. I was working full time while I was in school so I had to take time off to do these observations, but it was worth it. Good Luck!
