workboard By Samantha

Katie,
I am a US teacher, but taught in Sydney for awhile. I know guided reading is big there, so perhaps you have heard of the "workboard" system. If so, the independent activities that are part of the rotation system would be considered "centers." Using centers does not have to follow the workboard program (in fact, often does not) but I thought that might give you a good visual. This board is a great place for you to get info/support regarding centers in your classroom. Good luck!
