We have just finished a unit on this topic. My children made their letterbox out of a shoe box. The children brought some in and I went to a few shops. The shops were happy to give them away. We also gave each child a number. I used my class list. The children decorated their number. The children loved delivering, sorting, writing etc. We also made postcards.
