Have them draw a pyramid and then have them design intricate tunnels inside the chambers to divert robbers from stealing the treasures. My class loved this.
Also, make a mummy shape, duplicate it, and have students decorate the mummy case with things/objects that are important to them and their lives. Kids loved this too.
Have students write stories as if they were pharoahs, priests, princesses, slaves, scribes, etc.
