You might have your students each create a picture or a story/picture to be displayed on the BB. I have created a three dimensional cross with brown craft paper, draped a purple cloth across it and hung a small grape vine wreath over the top section. It looks really good. You could then used some silk dogwood flowers around the base and display the student's work around it.
You could create a BB with the story of the Dogwood tree. You can find them on bookmarks at a Christian bookstore if you don't have it.
Another possibilty would be to create the Easter story in segments on large paper Easter eggs, kind of like the Ressurection eggs used to tell the Easter Story.
