pocket thingies
By Julianne

Clip to ScrapBook
I'm an old cheapie too. I made pocket thingies for our chairs because we have tables and nowhere to put anything. They've worked well. Two caveats - make them of the thickest fabric you can find and use heavy duty thread. I think I'll redo mine in denim next fall. And - be sure to measure your LARGEST chair back. I nearly didn't make them wide enough because I assumed most of our chairs were the same width. It helps to make them two or three inches wider than necessary because that gives them some 'give' to accept larger items like library books or pencil boxes.
