Thanks for the bin idea. Do you have any other tips for storage of projects or papers that we are working on through the day? And also pencils and all that stuff? I just don't like stacks of papers and supplies
piled on top of their tables. Kids can't concentrate w/ loads of stuff all over the place. Your ideas or suggestions will be for 2nd graders w/ tables.
I need ideas for keeping school materials for each students in their "own" place besides a cubby. We have cubbies, and they are used for papers to go home, etc.
I have a homemade, low, long, shelf in front of the room and below

the white board for my teacher books so that the books will be handy for me when I am teaching whole group. I'm thinking that I could rearange this shelf for the kids and place cubbly-drawer-like areas for the kids to keep their work in progress, pencils and the like. "My" kids know that they are expected to have at least two pencils prepared and also another back up on hand.
Any storage ideas will be greatly appreciated. This will be the first for me for tables, but I know it will be a great change. I'm tired of asking the kids to keep the inside of their desks clean because the "clean desk fairy" could show up at any time. :-) Sometimes the "clean desk fairy" runs out of treats before payday! :-)
