Hi Ray,
I totally agree w/ you about the desk situation! I never really thought about this until I read your post and then thought about my students who do exactly that,...........mess around w/ "stuff" in their desks instead of listening to their teacher or doing their work. Plus, the most frustrating time for me is when I see students cutting or ripping little bits of paper or whatever in their desks, which will eventually fall on the floor!!!
My solution? Well, during the Christmas break I am getting tables and I am going to get those desks out of the classroom. First reason was for more organization | |
in my room, but now it will also be for keeping little hands out of trouble and attention on the teacher. :-)
Maybe, my solution will give you some ideas.
