What's in a Name?
By Elaine

Clip to ScrapBook
Thanks Sue for honoring me in rhyme. The very fact I'm thrill by it will tell you what a lame life I live!!!

This all reminds me of when I was a mere kid -- about 12. I was in love (as usual) with one of my sister's ditched
boy friends (She is 5 years older than I.). This particular unsuspecting guy was named David Dwayne. (I hope it's okay to say his name here. I am hoping he's not browsing this board since I'm pretty sure he's not a teacher.) Well, I decided I'd marry David Dwayne one day, and we'd become the wonderful couple, David and Elaine Dwayne and their even more wonderful children: Patricia
Elaine Dwayne and Patrick Duane Dwayne!!!!! How special is that? Thankfully, none of this ever came to be, but every now and then I dust off this incredible "old" story to amaze my grandchildren and students. I get a laugh out of it every time -- even if it is my own laugh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Elaine (thankfully NOT Dwayne?)
