Getting Organized By Michael

I think that it was interesting that you mentioned the multiple intelligences with the children. I realize that trying to make all the childeren get organized the same way is very difficult. I believe that the children| in many cases try to get organized very similar to the way the parents do or want them to. I have an eight year old and when I try to get him organized I find out the teacher wants it organized a different way. Now I have to learn a different way of organizing to meet the teacher's needs ir ways of organizing. I believe that I should be able to choose how my child gets organized because | | he is a lot like me. So where am I going with this. Here is where the Multiple Intelligence comes in. I think that you can have the children pick from three or four acceptable ways that you would like for them to get organized and the parents can choose with the child which ones they like the best. This way the parents and the children think they are making their own decision when in actuality they are picking one of your approved ways. As far as putting them in a multiple intelligence way that would be difficult for the verbal linguistic child and the body kinesthetic. You may not be able to set them all up in multiple intelligences but you could say "I know parents and children like to choose how they want to get organized and I have given you 5 acceptable ways. You may choose one of these five ways that you think would benefit your child the most. This way you have what you want and they have what they want.Hope this helps Michael Mookeritaliano@#aol.com
