Stone Fox

I have read Stone Fox for the last three years with a slightly below average fourth grade group. I do a lot of guided reading with them and really talk our way through it. Also, I have them do several illustrations as we read. Another thing I did this year was have them work in pairs and make a list of everything they learned about potatoes from the book. That was interesting! At the end I always have them write one more chapter for the book and they come up with the greatest ideas.
