Storing Themed Books ?
By Annie

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi Lori,

I don't even know where to start , but presently I am in the process of moving into a brand new classroom . I have been in a portable for 13 years. It gives me the opportunity to start all over again. I still
have another week off for winter break which is great.

I have given storing my theme books alot of thought . Here is what I plan to do. Since I don't have as many books as you do , I plan to use crates for each theme. I would also like to color coordinate my books my themes so if I run out of room , I can easily begin a new set with that same color. I thought I could store the crates

below a dry erase board I have in the back of my room. I plan on placing a kidney table right in front so when I meet with my literature groups its easy access for literature books. I plan on devoting the back part of my room to literature circles. The dry erase board is in between two bulletin boards. I plan on blowing up some charts I got from Laura Candler's website for easy reference. I also have some bright graphic organizers from Carson Dellosa that I have laminated that I will use on the bulletin boards. To the right of the kidney table I will devote an area to my library center where I will house all of my other AR books, reference books, magazines, etc. What do you think? Honestly Ü
