Holiday Woes!
By Elaine

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi, All!

I hope I haven't been gone too long to get in on a discussion of the book. I have read some of it, and I AM, after all, the one who griped, originally, about not having the opportunity to have a real book discussion
on the Book Board.

But first of all, I have to tell you my story of Holiday Woes, so you'll understand why I haven't been here. I'm not sure if you know I broke my wrist on the day after Thanksgiving, but that is really not the worst of it. One tooth started bothering me, and not wanting to stop in the middle of everything (holidays and all) to go to the dentist, I delayed calling

for an appointment. A few days later, when I finally went in, I had a huge swollen knot under my jawbone and a pretty intense infection. I have taken a massive dose of antibiotic (and undergone a yucky reaction to my pain medication -- dizziness and throwing up --ugh!) and am now waiting for the root canal procedure to begin on January 2, 2002. Now is that a way to start the New Year?

As I was reading through the posts, I noticed that George (?) about whether or not we needed a book discussion board. Has anyone taken any action on that offer, or do we really need it? Is the Book Board sufficient for all our needs? I look forward to "talking" to any or all of you. It is soooooooooooooooooo good to be back!

Elaine
