I flew from NY to CA and couldn't put the book down! It's so great and would love to discuss the implementation of it with other teachers. I have a reading specialist who comes in every day for a period to teach reading comp. and her methods are so old! IT's horrible. Since I can't do the reading workshops--"she doesn't work that way"- I will definitely try to do the writing workshop component after January's ELA. It's such a great book and will be my teaching Bible.
