Giant Peach
By Jennifer

Clip to ScrapBook
Because this book is so visual, have the students draw pictures of what you're reading aloud to them as you read. They stay focused on what you're describing and the pics are fun to put in an album when the book is over. Also, at the end of the book there's a chapter on New York being blown up; I simply skipped that part and said that there was something mysterious in the sky and then went on with the book where the President is called by all the Generals. The kids don't even notice because they think the people of NY are scared because of the giant peach, NOT a bomb like it says.
