One more thought - do a search on the internet for sites that discuss using picture books. I know that there are several out there. They are a wonderful resource and the kids love the pictures. Also, make use of the "Big Books" in your media center. I found one that teaches abou the rain forest and that is a subject for every grade level. The kids love them because they can all see it!!!!
