Miss Alaineous
By mary

Clip to ScrapBook
Sandra,
Sorry that I don't have a lesson plan yet, but just had to relate something funny.
I share a preschool classroom with a teacher named Eleni, known to the children as "Miss Eleni". The young children often have trouble pronouncing her name. She is often referred to by kids and parents alike with variations such as Miss Elaine, Miss Lane, Miss Lani, etc., which we rather enjoy and giggle over privately. One day a new mom came in desperate to know who Miss Alaineous could be! We still get a laugh over that response, so when I saw the new book in the Book Club tabloid, I couldn't wait to present it to her as a gift. You're right, it's a hysterical story! Not really a preschool read but now a personal favorite, especially for Miss Eleni!
