Nate the great

You could have them do a reading response sheet to the book where they do a character study about Nate. They could write a list of words that describe him and then cite examples they found in the text to support their thoughts. You could also have them read other mystery books and do a genre study. How are the books alike/different? (venn diagrams to compare characters like Nate and Cam Jansen) After reading one Nate the great book, have them make predictions about what they think will happen in the other books based on what they know.
