Guided Reading
By Michelle

Clip to ScrapBook
I am also student teaching and I have taken on much of the classroom activities already. The classroom teacher has set up the class into five reading groups, because there are 28 kids in the class. We do guided reading with them and they read books that meet there reading levels. It works quit well. However I am only in third grade and I believe in fifth grade the students are all at one level. You could try author studies with your class and read books that relate to certain writing styles or a certain author. Those activities fit in nicely with other subjects. Good luck!
