I am certified with a BS in Elementary Edu and I teach in a title 1 school. I was told that if I taught in a school like mine for 3 years, my loans would be forgiven. HA When I investigated it, I found out that there was a specific loan that I should have signed up for and didn't. Only those loans will be repaid. And they don't even know if those loans will be repaid because their is a lack of funds for that program.. What a crock! Another teacher at my school just finished her Masters and she is still trying to get her Bach. loans paid! Isn't is disgusting?
