Clip to ScrapBook
A proffesor of mine once told our class that regardless of what type of job you are interviewing for, it is best to interview where you no you DO NOT want to work. That way, you can get the often much needed practice before going to an interview for a job you DO WANT.

Reflecting back on my first teaching interview, I sure wish I had taken her suggestion. I really messed up my first interview. But that doesn't mean you will!

You're right, be yourself - don't try to be anything but! And remember, there are many reasons why an applicant doesn't get hired; it isn't always because he or she is incompetent. So don't take it so personally if you don't get the job. I've known many excellent teachers who didn't get a job after the interview.

Good Luck!
