I too am a special ed teacher and put in from 7-4 daily don't get a prep and I get a 15 min. lunch time. Thank goodness my aide takes my students out for recess which gives me 15 min. in the AM and 15 min. in the afternoon| to write in communications books and grade papers. I don't even eat lunch and I know that is not healthy. I used to run everyday after school when I had secondary ed. not anymore I am just completely tired. I too don't feel I put in too much time. I am balanced with trying to keep up with the demands of our job and enjoying my life too that is very important. I have spent over 2,000 | | in my classroom this year alone. This is the first year I was VERY religious in keeping receipts. If anyone has any tips on how to get funding for materials it would be much appreciated. 300 does not go far. I too feel like I am rambling, I guess we are not alone. I do enjoy my job though and we have to focus on those positives.
