What I really think... By sue d.

I just started posting this year because I moved to another state. I feel new. I had a wonderful six years on the east coast and now am outside a major midwestern city, still wanting to talk to people, but not feeling| comfortable yet spilling my guts to new coworkers. I enjoy reading the postings very much, even the humorous ones. Part of the fun of a chat room is seeing the whole spectrum of humanity--- crude, moralistic, hot-headed, too idealistic, pos, neg... you get it. I don't think anything needs to change because the replies are just like the variety of responses you'd get in real life, in-person. | | What I learned from my mentoring experience last year was that new teachers today are so sure that all they should get is sugary sweet replies, they fall apart when facing something quirky at their real schools. Okay, so one person corrects your English-- big deal. For every person like that, there will be five who write out thoughtful suggestions. REALITY BITES.
