Right on the mark

I think you handled things fine. I agree if it was to be temporary it didn't make sense to make things into an issue. Perhaps next time mention things earlier just in case. I like to let my Principal know if someone is
not working out as well just in case they ask for a job reference for another job. And since the T.A. was for your class I do think it would have been wiser for your admininstrator to ask you how things were working out before offering her the job. At least he is willing to backtrack and post the position.

Thankfully the end of December is almost upon us. Be as civil as you can, is

there some way you can have her out of the room as often as possible? And then enjoy your Christmas break and hopefully whoever is hired to replace her will be as good as your original T.A.
