Principal comments

Don't worry about the principal. Some, I think, think it is their only task in life to find what needs "improved." I had the same sort of comments and I was all upset. FOUR days later, he was telling my what a "Great" teacher I was. (Of course he was wanting me to do something for him!)Also, one of my mentors is 52 and is constently changing and rehashing lesson plans. This variety and flexibility is what I like about teaching. I haven't expected that I won't change -- so I haven't been disappointed that I have to make changes from year to year. Hang in there. Christmas break is coming. Go see some good movies, go to a day spa. Hopefully, you will feel better.
