Don't doubt yourself
By Kimberly

Clip to ScrapBook
You sound like an excellent teacher who goes above and beyond. My first year of teaching, I had a parent request their child moved out of my room because he used the bathroom in his pants in P.E. ! The parents thought it
happened because I wouldn't let him go and never investigated far enough to find out the real story. I was very offended and didn't want people to think I had not done my job. I finally realized that the parents were the ones with the problem and eventually they would have to stop running from it. That child you are referring to is the one being hurt and soon enough, the parents will
realize that this same problem is occurring wherever they go. Feel blessed that you began the process needed for this child to get the help she needs and experience success. Once the same thing happens with the next teacher, you will feel much better (not because the child is failing, but because you ARE right)and the child will hopefully get help. Good luck and keep doing what you do best!
