This is not the help I was seeking - holy cow!
My full response to this "dedicated" teacher is under her original message just above entitled "teachers unite!" Good heavens, if this is the kind of encouragement and support that is going to be offered, I'm sorry I ever asked for help! In fact, if I'd gotten some real support and encouragement (like some of you who did respond, thank you) I may have stayed in. What we need is to support each other not judge.
