private schools
By Cathy-Dee

Clip to ScrapBook
While I have no problem with private schools and in fact some do serve a good purpose as you stated of offering a more specific program not hindered by "government", they are not simply there for any student. Since they are privately funded only students whose parents can afford the tuition costs can attend.

I get disillusioned by the system from time to time, but I think it is so important for excellent teachers like yourself to stay in the system and to do what we can to improve it rather than just leave it. There are public schools out there that do "buck" the system and do a fantastic job with their kids. We need to hear more about what they are doing and find ways to incorporate their ideas into all of our schools.
