Catholic schools
By Colleen

Clip to ScrapBook
I teach in a Catholic school and we sign a yearly contract on the last day of school. The public school teachers have until July 15 to sign theirs so they don't even deal with vacancies until then. This is very tough. If I were you I'd wait it out until the end of the school year so you will at least get a recommendation from your principal. Breaking a contract doesn't look to good to future employers. If you want to go to a public school system then do it! You get more money and better benefits. I like my Catholic school in spite of the hardships. I would got public if I left, though.
