Homeschooling
By Tammy

Clip to ScrapBook
The timing of this post was just perfect. I had a new student join my class today. She was at our school for kindergarten, moved away and was homeschooled until now. They just moved back to the area and she is joining my 4th grade. She can not read or write in cursive (something we start in 2nd grade). It took her 10 minutes to copy one sentence off the board for DOL today, in print!! She is so far behind where my other students are I don't know what to do. There is just no way to get her caught up by the end of the year. We have had several homeschooled children join our school in the past few years. Most of them have been way behind where our other students are. I have yet to see a homeschool situation in our area that has been a good one.
