Afer considering everything, I sent them on to sixth grade with to a wonderful seven-year veteran. I knew she could handle them, and I also knew it was time for them to receive a different perspective in learning. We all have our teaching styles. I believed that they needed to be exposed to another teacher's style.

I also thought of the words of wisdom passed on by that sixth grade teacher. She looped with her kids from fifth to sixth. She loved the kids, but she said that towards the end of the year she was very tired of them. Try to imagine that if you are tired of them now how you will feel about them next year at this time!
