You were right.

You were absolutely right to ask those questions. First off you concern is for the child. If you think abuse may or might be taking place, you are OBLIGATED BY LAW to call social services. Your free and clear no one could press charges on you, if they did they would be dismissed by the first judge looking at the case. Keep being concerned. That is one sign of a good teacher.
