Here's a good one!

I consider myself a math person and good teacher, but I got a real wake-up call from one of my 4th graders one year. I, like you, felt I had really good lesson planned with clear examples blah, blah, blah. After the lesson a little girl came up to me and said, "Boy! I understood (whatever the concept) so clearly before you started to teach, and now I am all mixed up!!!!!!!!!" This is one I tell when I go to a math workshop, and we all get a good laugh out of it.
