Clip to ScrapBook
As a teacher who has been in the system for 6 1/2 years, I sometimes experience tiredness. It could be her atmosphere. I look at some of those same lessons and those different children and I wounder how the children who
I taught 6 years ago were so enthusiastic about my lesson. So I change my stripes and try innovative ideas to get my students involved around me. New teachers have arrived and I witness the spark in their eyes that I once had. this inspores me to want my students to learn. I reach out to these teachers for cutting edge lessons. I form bonds with these teachers. They also reach out
to me for classroom management ideas. They reach out to me for tried and true strategies that I have used. Yes, I may be stale sometimes, but the younger teachers motivate me to want to do better.

This teacher may just need a boost, so you give it to her. Model strategies for her so she can see how you are able to motivate the students. Also, tell her about exciting things you have heard about that may be on the cutting edge in the education forum. Don't just write her off and assume that she is "stale". She may just need some butter and jam to make her see that spark once again.
