Clip to ScrapBook
Hi all,
I have no problem with parents who have views about what their child should/shouldn't be learning in school...but you wouldn't go in to your doctor and tell him/her what to do...if you don't like it, find another
if you don't value the expertise.
While I personally wouldn't take time in class to read Capt. Underpants, it's certainly on my shelves. When parents come to me and ask that I not allow their child to read a particular book, fine, there are many choices during literature conversations to choose from; however, if a story is important and great to read aloud and as a parent you're
not a fan, your child is welcome to go to the library during that time...I will not disadvantage my class for your beliefs, but you have every right to them...just assist me to find a way to work around them. Best of luck. ;-D
