I haven't seen the pop-up yet. But I would support a small fee for use. I think the advice and support I receive from the boards is invaluable. It even helps me when I reply to someone else's post because I have to put into words teaching practice that I perhaps haven't thought about much. It's always a good review for me. The fact that the general public wouldn't be as likely to drop by and add their two cents' worth could be both good and bad. I'd miss the occasional parent who has a new perspective for us. I wouldn't miss the acid tongues of a few nasty posters who couldn't possibly be teachers, because we're all so kind and even tempered...
