some other posters have the right idea. Please treat this person with respect. You are the teacher but aides can be a valuable asset to a classroom. I had an aide my first year of teacher and she was wonderful. I could not have made it through the year with my sanity if it wasn't for her. One of the other posters said it all. Too many school treat their aides like pee-ons. I am lucky to work in a school where we have 3 wonderful aides (one of which I see for 40 minutes every other day). They are full of wonderful ideas and insight--use it. Good luck.
