Happy Hamburger
By Julie K.

Clip to ScrapBook
You may have seen this approach to paragraph development before. You make an outline of a hamburger. Top bun represents topic sentence, the details are represented by lettuce, meat, and tomato. Bottom bun represents ending or closing sentence. I have seen kids create their own. In fact, I had some kids (4th graders) after school today working on paragraphs on their best friend. (What makes a good friend?) Let me know what you think!
