Alberta Strike

I'm in one of the district's not yet on strike, although we could be. I was so happy to hear that for now those on strike will not be forced back to work. I think for a change the government has to start really looking| at things and not just simply try to take the easy road out. I am fully in support of my colleagues who are already on strike!!!!! I know it's not an easy decision, we are still in negotiations and of course have to go through all the steps before we can go on strike. Although our board has always been reasonable for the most part - if they do not have the money they can't offer what | |
they do not have. I know we all appreciate the support other provinces have been showing and colleagues from all over the world as well. We have support from the Nurse's union and other unions as well. And even a fair number of parents who support why we are on strike, but they of course do not like the strike itself.
