split grades?
By mike

Clip to ScrapBook
Hello,
As an experienced teacher i can tell you that here in Ontario split grades are very difficult to teach as the new curriculae do not have any overlap with one another.

If you chose a split class the number of students should be lower than the regular class due to your incresed work load.

You indicate that you enjoy grade two- if I were in your position I would NOT chose the split class they should be outlawed and I would teach the grade 2. I would not ssay to the principal "I'LL teach any grade you'd like" cause she will stick you with the split grade.

Good luck
