Relax and have fun
By Cathy-Dee

Clip to ScrapBook
Don't worry, just relax and have fun. You have a head-start already knowing your cooperating teacher and having an idea of what you'll be doing.

It is very normal to be nervous. In fact I'd be more worried and concerned
if someone said they were not nervous at all. Student teaching is the "big test", and we put so much of our energy into it. But it is well worth the experience and you will learn so much from it.

I've been teaching now for 9 years and can still look back favorably on my student teaching experiences. I learned a lot from my cooperating teachers and have to thank them for helping

me to become the teacher I am today.

You will find that once you get up and start teaching and they start asking questions and doing the work, etc., it will begin to just feel natural to you.
