Unexpect!
By kris

Clip to ScrapBook
I know how you are feeling regarding that evaluation. I was always reluctant to have the teacher tell me the horrible things to my face and even worse, during the school day. I have had one cooperating teacher that bluntly
told me after an evaluation that I should change majors because I am not cut out to be a teacher...How horrible is that. I cried! In a way to get back at the teacher, since you personally feel that you did excellent (which you probably did)...go in and ask her for a recommendation letter. Tell her you want one for your own file. See how she reacts. She will either give you one or
not. You are already in the downfall of this and shouldn't be hurt if she denies you. Then you can ask why she won't write one. Make her feel guilty for that response especially since it is in your file. Then you can always go and talk to a professor or advisor and tell them about it, say that she informed you of what was said and you feel it wasn't right.

I also agree with what everyone else says. The next evaluation will make up for it. Don't let one person ruin you, because there are tons of good teachers out there that are truly willing to help and those are the recommendations that you truly want.

Hope all goes well!
