student teaching

Clip to ScrapBook
My student teaching experience was great. The best advice: give realistic advice, example, you don't have to grade every piece of paper etc.. have a sense of humor. I'll never forget a proofreading excercise with spelling words that I did, it was 3 paragraphs long. Slightly long for 3rd graders, I had planned on grading it but I saw from the first paper that it wasn't something that kids could do at that level. I approached my coop and asked her if it gave her a chuckle to see it and she laughed and said yes. I learned my lesson that all things will not work so brush it off and start over. Good luck and enjoy it, I did and still love to sub for MY KIDS!!!
