Spelling Bee Basketball By Kristen

Divide the class into 2 teams. 1 member from each team comes up to the board and writes a spelling word that is read-aloud by the teacher. If there is a pattern for the words, then the students must also identify the pattern. Students get 1pt. for spelling the word and 1pt. for identifying the pattern. If spelled correctly, they can choose from a 1pt., 2pt., or 3pt., range for a shot into a Nurf hoop. (I covered the backboard to look like a bee hive and put the title Bee Ball on it.)
