Go get 'em!!!!!

I worked as a sub for six years at the rate of a measly $60 a day. And that was in a big union state--Pennsylvania. It never changed in those entire six years that I subbed. It upset me that I worked
and worked and worked each day, putting forth my best effort while the regular teachers kept receiving salary increases. I was also in every day as a sub. Even when I worked as a long-term sub in one school I only received sub pay for the two months I was in. I had to complete lesson plans and report cards and attend parent conferences and all of that. I always thought it was the biggest

"rip-off." I also believed that there should be a union, but I hadn't know how to approach that.

I applaud your efforts to improve the working conditions and pay for your subs!
