Not the only one

Just because you are on the sub list DOES NOT guarantee work. I taught for two years. I moved closer to my family this year. I applied for many jobs and to many districts in the spring and summer. I had no luck, and decided to apply for subbing. I applyed the end of August, but did not get interviewed until the middle of October. I was on the list for three weeks before I got a call. It is so frustrating. In my district, calls go through a sub-clerk. There is no booking ahead by teachers or being assigned to specific schools. I never know until the morning of if I will get a call.
